Bishop Emma Murunga is a trained professional counselor. She is also an English & Literature and Music teacher. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Physical Education, Hair Design, and Beauty. She has received training in Pastoral Counseling and Bible Theology. Emma has worked as a class teacher, assistant Games Minister, Dorm Minister, Boarding Minister, and Senior Teacher in several schools, including Citam Senior School Buruburu between 2005 and 2009. She has also served as a Deputy Principal at Ongata Senior School in Kajiado County. She taught Lukenya IGCSE (British curriculum) and previously served as principal at Lukenya Girls (resigned).
Currently, she is fully engaged in pastoral counseling, having founded NaomiRuth Women to empower women spiritually, socially, emotionally, and economically. She has been a resident of Nairobi since 1997 and has launched this forum in 47 counties in Kenya as a means of mobilization and lobbying. Moreover, she has extended her efforts to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia, Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania. She plans to further expand to the DRC, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. Additionally, she volunteered for 2 and a half years on DCM TV Jamaica from 2020 to 2022, where she ministered to the Caribbean 9 islands via radio and TV.
